Welcome back!
What Kind of World do You Want?
Touching Autism Videos:
Autism Videos
John Ondrasik of Five For Fighting has personally selected Autism Speaks as one of his hand-picked charities and has designed
a contest where people send in videos that they've made relating to the Five For Fighting song "What Kind of World do You Want".
Watch the clips posted by others, support the sponsor and up to 49 cents will go to charity! These videos are amazing and touching.
Thanks, John Ondrasik and Five for Fighting, for creating such a wonderful venue that gives back!

About this Site
No doubt if you've found this site, your life has been touched by autism. I am the parent of two boys, my four year old was diagnosed with autism one week before his second birthday. My younger son was then only six months old. You will hear many parents say that they have big dreams for their children's future. But after a diagnosis of autism, your dreams are different dreams. After speaking with so many parents, there is the common chord that resonates with each of us. At the same time, each of our children is unique with individual needs--whether autistic or not.
I have attempted to document our journey once we received
Dominic's diagnosis of autism throughout this site. The Internet is not lacking websites teeming with information about Autism.
My purpose in creating this site is to simply relate our family's personal story in the hopes that it may help other families
through diagnosis. The best resource I've found is other parents! I don't have all the answers but we can help each other
and share strategies that work.
About the Site Areas
The main navigation menu is on the left-hand side of the page. The photos that you see here
are pictures of my son Dominic over the past four years. If you are visiting for the first time, I would suggest starting with
the Our Story page, which details the path we took through my son's diagnosis. Through that page you
will get to know my family.
About the Donation Button
On the right-hand side of the page you will see a Donation button. By clicking this link, you can make a donation that will be deposited into Dominic's College Illinois! 529 plan. Unfortunately, the Illinois program does not allow for online deposits through the Internet and I have requested this. I am not sure how else to confirm that 100% of the online donations will be used for this purpose. As soon as I figure that out, I will incorporate it into the site.
Obligatory Disclaimer
I am not a medical professional, nutritionist, or developmental expert. I am a parent. The medical information provided on this site is, at best, of a general nature and cannot substitute for the advice of a medical professional (for instance, a qualified doctor/physician, nurse, pharmacist/chemist, and so on). This site is designed to relate my personal experiences as a parent of a child with autism. Your mileage may vary. Always discuss changes in your child's diet with a qualified nutritionist and/or pediatrician.
